Topper will be stopping in at downtown Chittenango area businesses for participation in the 2015 Land of Oz passport. For passport information Call 315-415-8546 Oz fans be sure to pick up a Land of Oz passport when you come to Oz-Stravaganza!. They will be available at all participating businesses. Get your passport stamped at area businesses, solve the Oz message and win a prize.

1:00–9:00 p.m.—Oz-Stravaganza! Park Opens. Some crafter/vendor booths opening and more to open on Saturday. 

2:00–7:00 p.m.—Information Booth, Greater Sullivan Area Chamber of Commerce. Be sure to pick up a Land of Oz Passport at the All Things Oz Museum or at the information booth in Oz park. Complete your passport and win prizes. 

2:00–3:00 p.m.—Meet and Greet. Autograph session for Ron Baxely, Jr. at the All Things Oz Museum, 219 Genesee Street, Chittenango.

4:00 p.m.—Amusement Rides open in Oz-Stravaganza! Park. Ride specials available.

4:00–5:30 p.m.—Special Oz Guests and Author’s & Artist’s Alley Signing,
Oz-Stravaganza! Park. Meet and Greet with Munchkin by Marriage, Myrna Swensen, Roger and Charlene Baum, John Fricke, Christianna Rickard, niece of Ray Bolger, Ryan Jay, Grand Marshal Ken Page, The Cowardly Lion from the 1975 production “The Wiz,” Emma Ridley, Ozma in Return to Oz; and author of “WICKED, ” Gregory Maguire.

4:00–7:00 p.m.—
Wizard’s Wonderful Silent Auction, Glinda’s Royal Tent located in Oz-Stravaganza! Park, Downtown Chittenango. Includes Oz, Non-Oz items, local and national items, gift certificates & more. Be sure to get raffle tickets for the handmade Oz Quilt.

5:00 p.m.—Cook-Out at the American Legion, Parking Lot of the American Legion, Legion Drive, Chttenango, NY. Hot dogs, hamburgers, salt potatoes will be served.

5:00–7:00 p.m.—Postal Cancellation, Oz-Stravaganza! Park. Postal cancellations offered by the Chittenango Postal Service. Friday’s Cancellation was designed by Autumn J. Evans Osinski and 
Saturday’s Cancellation is also available “Scarecrow of Oz” designed by Dennis F. Kulis. Special Oz-Stravaganza! envelopes will be available for cancellation. Cancellations make great gifts and collector items, send your mail from “The Land of Oz.” 

6:00–8:30 p.m.—Friday Night Program, Oz-Stravaganza! Park, Baum’s Opera House, Downtown Chittenango.

6:30–8:30 p.m.—Live music for your listening pleasure by Paul Davie. Community Recognition Park, Legion Drive. 

6:30–9:30 p.m.—Prequel to Fireworks, Community Recognition Park, Legion Drive. Enjoy the Cook-Out at the American Legion before the fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

6:30 p.m.—Hot Air Balloon lift-off, Sullivan Park, Lake Street. Weather permitting and reservations are required. Spectators welcome. Please call Dwight Cramer at 315-761-8201 for reservations.

9:30 p.m.—The “Ozsome” Oz Fireworks, Community Recognition Park, Legion Drive, Chittenango. Food/beverage will be available.

Park including continuous live entertainment on the main stage (Baum Opera House), games, vendors/crafters, Oz souvenirs & memorabilia, a wide variety of food, snacks, and beverages. Many children’s activities. Special Guests in Glinda’s Royal Tent.

—Baum & Oz History Display. Oz-Stravaganza! Park. 

11:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.Meet and greet. Autograph session with Ryan Jay and Emma Ridley (“Return to Oz”), at the “All Things Oz Museum,” 219 Genesee Street, Chittenango.

11:00 a.m.—Royal Historian of Oz Writing Contest Awards. Ceremony on the main stage (Baum’s Opera House) in Oz-Stravaganza! Park. Winning stories will be read by Special Oz Guests.

11:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m.
—Wizard’s Wonderful Silent Auction in Glinda’s Royal Tent, Oz-Stravaganza! Park. Includes Oz, Non-Oz items, local and national items, gift certificates & more. 

Noon—Amusement Rides Open, Oz-Stravaganza! Park. Ride specials available.

12:00 p.m.—Coloring Contest Awards. Ceremony on the main stage (Baum’s Opera House) in Oz-Stravaganza! Park. (Sponsored by The Wilson Insurance Agency) 

12:30–3:00 p.m.
—Author’s & Artist’s Alley, Oz-Stravaganza! Park. Meet with renowned Oz authors and illustrators, (Tom Hutchison, Ron Baxley, Jr., James C. Wallace II and his wife, Amanda D. Wallace, Kenneth L. Doane II, and artist Vincent Myrand). They will have their books/artwork available for sale and signing.  

1:00–3:00 p.m.
—Autographs with Special Oz Guests, Oz-Stravaganza! 8:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m.—Postal Cancellation, Post Office, 1001 East Genesee Street–Route 5, Chittenango, NY. Postal cancellations offered by the Chittenango Postal Service. Saturday’s Cancellation is “Scarecrow of Oz” designed by Dennis F. Kulis and

10:00 a.m.—Munchkin Mile Kid’s Fun Run and New TOTO’s Toddler Trot, Chittenango Fire Dept. Registration starts at 10:00 a.m., Actual Run starts at 11:00 a.m. $8 pre-registration, $10 for late/day of race. Munchkin Mile Run race route is approximately 1 mile and will begin and end at the Chittenango Fire Department in the heart of the Village of Chittenango (417 Genesee St.)
Toto’s Toddler Trot begins at 11:00 a.m., is an approximately 1/4 mile fun/walk. 
Munchkin Mile Run begins at 11:15 A.M .
Free t-shirts for the first 100 entries. All runners will receive a free amusement ride ticket and children are encouraged to stay and march in the parade at 2 p.m. (Sponsored by Chittenango Physical Therapy and Kinney Drugs Foundation)

12:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.—Meet and Greet. Autograph session for Roger Baum, the Great Grandson of L. Frank Baum, at the All Things Oz Museum, 219 Genesee Street, Chittenango.

12:00 p.m.—Costume Contest, Stickles Park at the intersection of Genesee Street (Route 5) and Falls Blvd. For ages infants to adults! Dress up like Dorothy, the Scarecrow, Tin Man, Lion, The Wicked Witch, Glinda, Munchkins or any other Oz book/movie character. There will be THREE awards per category & age group.
Registration begins at 12:15 p.m.
Judging starts promptly at 12:45 p.m.

Awards will be presented immediately following judging in the Gazebo in
Stickles Park prior to the Oz parade. All awards that are NOT picked up at the ceremony will be available for the winners to pick up at the Chittenango Village Hall during normal business hours.You MUST register/check-in at the registration area when you arrive. Locate form under Writing, Coloring & Costume tab on the left side, download the form and bring the form with you to costume judging. Do not send in advance.

12:00 p.m.—Balloon Walk, Genesee St. across from Oz-Stravaganza! Park. Cost is $3.00.

2:00–3:00 p.m.—2015 Oz-Stravaganza! Parade. Theme: “Oz-Showstoppers.” Music filled parade with Ozzie floats, animals, marching units and more! Parade route is downtown Chittenango (Genesee St./Route 5) starting at Sullivan Free Library and continuing north to Oneida Savings Bank.

3:30–5:00 p.m.—Autographs with Special Oz Guests, Oz-Stravaganza! Park.
