Welcome to the Wonderful Web Site of Oz...

Oz-Stravaganza! That Is!

As lifelong members of the Oz Community, my wife, Clare and I have always dreamed of a museum and historical center

dedicate to my Great Grandfather’s total body of work.  His book series, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz was an instant favorite from its very release some 115 years ago and has led to L. Frank Baum being considered America’s First Fairy Tale Author.

To know the story of Oz, you must know the author. All Things Oz is more than a tribute to a book series; it is a fascinating trip through the life of its author, his wife, Maud Gage, and all the many experiences that shaped his imagination and his world.

We are honored as members of the Baum Family to lend our continued support to the concept and rational of The L. Frank Baum and All Things Oz Historical Foundation and Museum. We feel there could not be a more fitting place than L. Frank Baum’s hometown in which to establish this museum and historical center, dedicated to “All Things OZ,” because there really is “No Place Like Home.”

Clare and I hope you enjoy your trip “down the Yellow Brick Road,” and come away with a heart full of joy and a sense of who “the man behind the curtain” was.

We hope you will join us in supporting all the tireless staff and volunteers who make this Museum and all its events possible. Hope to see you at Oz-Stravaganza 2016!

Ozily yours,

Robert Baum & Clare Baum

L. Frank Baum's Great Grandson

Operate and staff the All Things Oz Museum in Chittenango, NY- the birthplace of author L. Frank Baum. Baum is best known for his novel “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.”

The foundation is an I.R.S. recognized 501(c)3 non-profit organization and a chartered historical Foundation in New York State. The foundation is 100% volunteer, and every penny raised goes directly back to the foundation.

In addition to the museum (which is open year-round), we coordinate and oversee the Annual Oz-Stravaganza! festival.  The festival is held the weekend of the first Saturday in June, and features "Wizard of Oz" related guests, entertainment, vendors, and FUN! The festival is held in the Village of Chittenango and is the largest and longest running “Wizard of Oz” themed festival in the nation.

The Foundation has remained very busy, as we also recently won the right to take over the Baum-Neal House at 678 W. Onondaga St. in Syracuse, NY. This was the home of L. Frank Baum's sister. Harriet Baum Neal and her family, and is the location in which Baum met his true love and future bride Maud Gage.  The restoration project is slated to begin very soon, and will take nearly 5 years and approximately $300,000 in expenses.
